If you buy a gift card while we are running a gift card campaign (e.g. -20%), the gift card cannot be used for prescription treatments. Otherwise it applies to the remaining treatments .
Collagen and elastin consist of amino acids, which are the precursors produced by fibroblast cells. Elastin makes the skin elastic and increases its elasticity, and collagen holds the skin together. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its strength and firms it. Between collagen and elastin in the skin there is hyaluronic acid, which plays an important role in the skin's ability to bind water.
Migrated filler in the lips or face is a growing problem, and every day distressed patients come to us who want to do something about it.
Migrated means that the product has moved from the area where it was originally placed. Filler should be injected at different depths in the skin, and if you inject it in the wrong layer, or use filler that is too thick in soft tissue such as the lips, for example, complications can occur.
This can be removed with an enzyme that breaks down filler that has moved. We only use hyaluronidase (enzyme) of bacterial origin. Many people use the word hylase for the treatment. Previously, the only product used in Norway has been hyaluronidase produced from animal origin. This increases the chance of anaphylactic shock and allergic reactions, because the enzymes are not free of additives, unlike the one we use.
The enzymes injected into the area break down the bonds in the hyaluronic acid, so that it disappears from the area. It takes about 60 minutes (depending on the thickness of the filler) before 50% has broken down, and a further 14 days before everything is broken down. In some cases several treatments are necessary.
In our clinic we often use a hyaluronidase that has a 10 times higher concentration than the one that was previously on the market on its own, so one removal round is usually enough. It is recommended that the tissue is given a couple of weeks to rest before new filler is injected.
There is a risk of allergic reaction with this procedure, especially for those who have a wasp allergy, although our product has a significantly lower chance of this.
PBSerum Medical is often used in the treatment of:
Local unevenness in the skin's surface (cellulite, scars)
Accumulations in tissue (for example after aesthetic procedures)
Fluid retention and swelling, reduced circulation
Localised accumulation of fatty tissue
Typical treatment areas include under the chin, abdomen, arms, back, thighs, hips and knees, but it can be adapted to the whole body as needed.
This is very individual from person to person. However, an average of 3 treatments with 14 days between treatments is recommended. Sometimes 2 is enough. And in some cases, such as scars and larger problem areas, up to 5 for the most optimal result. It should be noted that one treatment will be effective, but it is intended as a course.
We have a total of 18 different chemical peels. So we are sure to have one that suits you and your skin. When you book a treatment, you will always receive a chemical peel adapted to your skin.
Pigmentation must be worked on actively over a somewhat longer period. This is done by performing a chemical peel at our clinic. You must do this 1 - 3 times, + follow a home programme for which you will receive guidance from us. You will be followed up by our cosmetic nurses, and we will also give you product guidance after the course of treatment is completed. A minimum of 90 days of the home programme must pass before you can evaluate where you are in the process. Many people will have reached their goal by this point, while some must change products and possibly have a new clinic treatment .
For the treatment of lost volume we recommend products with hyaluronic acid and collagen-stimulating treatments. Filler is the most common treatment for this. Read more about the risks of this under treatments.
There are several types of wrinkle treatment for cosmetic use. Many people in the market are confused at the moment, as there is very little information in Norway. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to advertise this treatment in more detail, as it involves medicines.
Please contact one of our nurses for a consultation and to get more information about the treatment and complications.
A filler treatment takes anything from 30-60 minutes, depending on the area and amount.
This is very individual. Before the appointment you will be given a numbing cream that numbs the lips somewhat. In addition, the filler itself contains anaesthetic. Generally few people report pain from the treatment, but it is normal to feel some discomfort.
Common side effects that may occur: * slight swelling * Redness around the injection site * bruising or soreness * mild itching or discomfort unusual side effects: * asymmetry in the result * uneven texture in the skin * temporary discolouration * The product may move from the injection site .
Rare but serious side effects: * allergic reactions * infections at the injection site * scarring or lumps * tissue death due to intravascular injection, which in the worst case can lead to blindness. This has only happened a few times worldwide, but it is important to inform about this.
It is important to note that the most common side effects are usually mild and temporary. It is recommended to consult an experienced medical professional before undergoing such a treatment and to follow their advice to minimise the risk of side effects. If you experience unexpected reactions, you should contact your healthcare provider immediately.
People who are not recommended to have this treatment: * pregnant or breastfeeding women * People with active skin infections or herpes outbreaks in the treatment area * People with severe allergic reactions, especially to hyaluronic acid or similar substances * people with autoimmune disease or serious medical * people who take medicines that affect the blood
Complications such as infection, occlusion and allergic reaction can also occur in rare cases.
In the case of infection you will experience extreme swelling, pain, redness and heat. Some may also experience yellow pus/fluid in the area of skin that has been treated. Infections in the skin must be treated by a doctor.
In rare cases, occlusion of a blood vessel can occur. Occlusion is the most feared complication of filler treatment. If filler is placed into a blood vessel, the tissue will lose its access to oxygen.
In the case of untreated occlusion and visible signs of reduced circulation to the tissue, it can in the worst case cause the tissue to die and/or create disfiguring wounds. The nose, the area between the eyebrows and the under-eye treatment are the most dangerous areas to treat.
It is extremely important that patients contact a nurse/doctor if they suspect serious complications .
FAQ chemical peel
We have a total of 18 different chemical peels. So we are sure to have one that suits you and your skin. When you book a treatment, you will always receive a chemical peel adapted to your skin, which we agree on at the consultation before the appointment.
After the age of 25 the collagen bank decreases by 1% per year. The cells become slower every year and produce less of what keeps your skin firm and strong. It is therefore important to wake the cells up regularly to stimulate this activity and maintain healthy skin.
There is a variety of treatments that will increase this, and a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is therefore always recommended in order to give you the optimal treatment for you.
Treatments that stimulate this can be, for example, Ultraformer3, Carboxytherapy, PBserum Medical, etc.
This is very individual. Some feel a light tightening sensation while others describe a light prickling under the skin. The vast majority get through the treatment well.
After treatment you may feel a little swelling in the area, and you may be red in the area for a few hours after the treatment. It is normal to have tingling and a little swelling in the area for days/weeks after the treatment, but this is temporary. In a few cases you may also get bruising in the treatment area. Rare and more serious side effects include burning of the tissue, which can lead to ulcers and scarring. Very rarely, inflammation of the tissue, local muscle weakness and temporary effects on the nerves of the face (temporary paresis) can occur, lasting a couple of days .
This varies depending on the area. Smaller areas take around 30 minutes, while larger or multiple areas can take 60–90 minutes.
