General advice – the nurse will give you personal advice tailored to your treatment.

Before treatment

  • Stop using retinol and acids in your home care approx. 3–7 days before, or as agreed.
  • Avoid sunburn and waxing in the area.
  • Tell us about herpes, isotretinoin in the last 6 months, pregnancy and known allergies.

After treatment

  • Use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen (SPF 30–50) every day.
  • Do not pick or scrub; let the skin flake naturally.
  • Avoid sun, tanning beds, sauna and hard exercise for 48 hours.
  • Do not use retinol/acids until the nurse says it is OK.

This is normal

  • Redness, tight skin and flaking for 2–7 days.
