Ultraformer (HIFU): before and after treatment
Advice on ultrasound treatment for firmer skin.
General advice – the nurse will give you personal advice tailored to your treatment.
Before treatment
- Come without make-up and cream on the skin.
- Tell us about metal implants, pacemaker, filler in the area and pregnancy.
- Avoid sunburn in the area in the last few weeks.
After treatment
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser; avoid strong heat and active ingredients (acids/retinol) for 2–3 days.
- Use sunscreen daily.
- Drink plenty of water.
This is normal
- Redness and a feeling of tenderness/“bruised feeling” for a few days.
- Slight swelling. The result develops over 2–3 months.
When to get in touch
Get in touch if you experience any of this:
- In case of severe pain, white/pale or bluish skin, visual disturbances, difficulty breathing, severe swelling that spreads, fever or pus: call the clinic on 403 11 017 immediately (outside opening hours: legevakt 116 117 (out-of-hours emergency clinic); in case of acute danger 113 (emergency number)).
- Blisters, burn-like skin or numbness that does not go away.
