What is HArmonyCa?
HArmonyCa is a so-called hybrid treatment that combines two active components in a single injectable product:
- Hyaluronic acid (HA): Contributes an immediate volumising and lifting effect in the treated area.
- Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA): Microscopic particles that stimulate the body's own collagen production over time.
The combination means the treatment can give a visible change shortly after injection as well as gradual improvements in tissue firmness. HArmonyCa is therefore an option for those who want more than volume alone.
What can HArmonyCa contribute?
With age, natural changes occur in the face. The skin's collagen content gradually decreases, and many find that the skin loses some of its firmness while the contours of the face become less defined.
HArmonyCa is designed to help:
- Improve facial contours and provide a subtle lift.
- Restore some of the lost volume in selected areas.
- Stimulate the body's own collagen production.
- Improve skin firmness and support over time.
The result depends on your starting point, the treatment area and individual response. The treatment does not give the same result for everyone, and an individual assessment is necessary to establish what is realistic to achieve.
How does the treatment work?
HArmonyCa is injected into selected areas of the face by qualified healthcare professionals. The treatment areas are assessed individually and may include the cheek area and the jawline, among others.
Before the treatment we hold a consultation in which we assess the structure of the face, the firmness of the skin and your wishes. The treatment is then adapted to your facial anatomy and the desired result.
The treatment itself involves injections in the relevant area. HArmonyCa also contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that helps reduce discomfort during the treatment.
When will you see the result, and how long does it last?
HArmonyCa has two mechanisms of action that give results at different times.
- Immediately after the treatment: The hyaluronic acid contributes a volumising and lifting effect. Swelling may, however, affect how the result looks in the first few days.
- In the weeks and months after the treatment: The calcium hydroxyapatite stimulates the body's own collagen production. Changes in skin firmness and support develop gradually.
The result can last for many months, but the duration varies from person to person. The skin's starting point, the treatment area and individual factors all play a part.
What should you know about the time after HArmonyCa?
After the treatment, temporary skin reactions may occur. This is common with injectable treatments and may include:
- Swelling and redness.
- Tenderness or discomfort in the treated area.
- Bruising.
- Temporary unevenness or a feeling of firmness in the area.
The reactions usually subside gradually, but swelling and bruising can last longer than a few days. The final result should therefore not be judged immediately after the treatment.
We recommend that you avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24 hours, limit unnecessary touching of the area and follow the advice you receive from your practitioner. Do not massage the treated area unless you have specifically been told to.
As with all injectable treatments, there is also a risk of rare but serious complications. Contact the clinic immediately if you experience unusually severe pain, skin that becomes pale or discoloured, or visual disturbances after the treatment.
Is HArmonyCa right for you?
HArmonyCa may be relevant for you if you want to improve facial contours and skin firmness and want both an immediate effect and gradual collagen stimulation.
The treatment is not suitable for everyone. During the consultation we assess, among other things, your health, previous treatments, any medication and your expectations of the result. HArmonyCa must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, among other restrictions.

Before and after treatment
General advice for you who are about to have, or have had, this treatment.
After a consultation you can get access to before and after photos. Download Beauty Medical from the App Store and we will send you a password.
Before treatment
- Tell us about any medicines (especially blood thinners), allergies, pregnancy/breastfeeding, herpes and previous treatments.
- Come without make-up in the area to be treated, and with freshly washed skin.
- Avoid alcohol the day before and on the day unless otherwise agreed.
- Avoid sunburn and active skin irritation in the area.
After treatment
- Avoid make-up and heavy sweating for the first 24 hours.
- Use a gentle cleanser and plenty of moisturiser; avoid acids/retinol for the first 3–5 days unless otherwise agreed.
- Use sunscreen (at least SPF 30) daily.
- Avoid sauna, tanning beds and hard exercise for the first 24–48 hours.
This is normal
- Small swellings (wheals) at the injection sites that disappear within 1–3 days.
- Slight redness, tenderness and small bruises.
- The skin often feels dry or tight before it becomes softer over weeks.
When to get in touch
Get in touch if you experience any of this:
- In case of severe pain, white/pale or bluish skin, visual disturbances, difficulty breathing, severe swelling that spreads, fever or pus: call the clinic on 403 11 017 immediately (outside opening hours: legevakt 116 117 (out-of-hours emergency clinic); in case of acute danger 113 (emergency number)).
- Hard, painful lumps that do not go away or that grow.
