How to treat acne

Acne is common and can be painful. Some find that acne affects everyday life. This is a big problem for very many people. But help is available! The sooner you get help, the better, and the chance of later acne scarring is reduced. More and more young people get acne today, but there are also a number of adults with acne, especially around the mouth/jaw area.
"Acne is an inflammation of the sebaceous glands in the skin, primarily located on the face and upper body. The causes are complex and consist of increased sebum secretion and sebum blocking the hair follicles." In other words, we have dead skin cells lying on the skin, which will clog the pores, then, for one reason or another, you get increased sebum secretion, and then it becomes a "Home Alone" party with the p. acnes bacteria (which we all have in our skin). Down here it is low in oxygen, which makes the bacteria thrive. The reason for increased sebum production can be, for example, hormones and stress, or a poor facial cleansing routine. Further on, a bacterial infection forms, with redness and inflammation. If this develops further with more types of bacteria, it can develop into deep, pus-filled pustules.
In short, we need to understand how acne forms in order to reduce acne.
We need to get rid of the dead skin cells. A good cleanser, suited specifically to you, that contains exfoliating acids and dissolves sebum is absolutely decisive for the rest of the routine. Scrub a few times a week with a suitable scrub.
We need to apply products containing acids that calm the skin and dampen the inflammation.
We also need to apply acids and ingredients that kill the p. acnes bacteria and are generally bacteria-preventive.
We need to add lots of moisture to the skin.
SUN PROTECTION! This is super important. Sun protection should be used every day all year round, whatever the weather. Not sure which sunscreen you should choose? Read here.
Product tips that can reduce acne.
1. Cosmo Clear cleanser
A deep-cleansing facial cleanser with a high concentration of acids, which helps improve the skin's natural moisture balance and remove make-up and impurities without drying out the skin. Use morning and evening. On the ingredients list we see that the cleanser contains lactic acid and glycolic acid. These are two really good acids that go deep into the skin and exfoliate, while giving lots of moisture to the skin. Having plenty of moisture is absolutely essential for acne-prone skin.
2. AcNo Complex
Full of anti-inflammatory ingredients, this effective serum helps reduce sebum production, redness and impurities. It also calms and improves moisture levels.
3. Intensive Hydrogel
This cream is a favourite for very many people. Especially those with oily and congested skin. The reason is that it contains both lactic acid and salicylic acid. The lactic acid provides moisture and exfoliates. The salicylic acid dissolves sebum and has a soothing effect on the skin. It promotes cell renewal and removes dead skin cells.
4. Azelaic Forte 25
Thanks to its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, brightening, exfoliating and regenerating properties, this cream addresses several skin concerns. Particularly effective and can be included in the treatment of redness, inflammatory problem skin and uneven skin tone.
5. AcNo Solution
For those with deep and inflamed blemishes. Contains a concentrated and effective combination of ingredients used to treat problematic, oily and irritated skin. Anti-bacterial, reduces redness and irritation and improves the skin's moisture level.
6. Mediclay Mask
A deep-cleansing mask for the treatment of oily/problem skin. Contains several active ingredients that help reduce breakouts and reduce bacterial growth, while adding moisture and having a soothing effect.

Treatment in the clinic:
Dermapen
The tip for clinic treatment is to get oxygen down into the pores. As we remember from the text further up, the bacteria thrive in a low-oxygen environment, and by getting oxygen down into the pores, the bacteria will die. Here we recommend Dermapen treatment. Tiny microscopic needles create channels down into the skin and simply kill the bacteria that cause inflammation, irritation and redness. Do 3-4 rounds along with tailored products at home and you will see that the bacteria in your skin are not so high and mighty any more.
Chemical peel
You can also have a chemical peel such as Lightning from INNO AESTHETICS or the MeLine clinic peel. Both of these peels contain ingredients that are good for reducing acne and brightening the skin at the same time. We often want to brighten the skin because many get post-inflammatory pigmentation after acne. You can also do a few rounds of these
